The Business Intelligence Student Assistant supports the Data & Innovations team by helping maintain, document, and improve FSC’s existing Business Intelligence reports and processes.
The role is designed to offload operational and documentation work from senior team members, while giving the student hands-on exposure to real-world BI systems, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making in an international organization.

The Scope
Main Roles & Responsibilities
BI Documentation and Familiarization
- Review and document existing Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and key metrics.
- Help create clear descriptions of what each report shows, who uses it, and how it should be interpreted.
- Maintain BI documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting inventories.
- Assist with basic updates and maintenance of existing Power BI reports (e.g. filters, visuals, labels, metadata).
- Support testing and validation of reports after updates or data changes.
- Support communication between BI developers and business users by collecting feedback and usage questions.
- Help prepare simple guides or user instructions for BI reports.
- Assist in organizing BI-related processes, templates, and standards.
- Help track improvement requests and known issues related to existing dashboards.
Your profile
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (preferred) in Data Science, Business, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
- Basic familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools (academic or practical).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn existing systems.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Basic understanding of data concepts and reporting.
- Experience with Excel and MS Office; Power BI is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English.
- Additional languages are a plus.
- Interest in data, analytics, and digital transformation.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment.

The Fine Print
- Start date: As soon as possible.
- Working hours: 20 hours per week (ideally across 3- 5 days per week).
- Duration: 12 months (with an opportunity to extend)
- Remuneration: 14€ gross per hour.
- Location: Bonn, Germany (hybrid).
