Platform & DevOps Manager (m-f-d)
The Scope
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Own and lead FSC's Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and Deployment Automation capability.
- Define and maintain platform engineering strategy, standards, roadmaps, and operating practices.
- Provide technical leadership across platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and modern software delivery practices.
- Maintain a strong hands-on contribution to infrastructure engineering, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevSecOps initiatives.
- Drive platform modernization and the adoption of automation, AI-assisted engineering, and engineering best practices.
- Design and implement reusable automation frameworks, deployment patterns, and self-service capabilities that improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.
- Ensure security, resilience, compliance, and operational excellence are embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, operational runbooks, and engineering playbooks to ensure knowledge retention and operational continuity.
- Mentor and enable colleagues while promoting a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.
Your profile
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or suitable IT-related field.
- Master in IT related field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
- Proven experience in platform management, DevOps Management, and Infrastructure architecture design/documentation.
- 4 -6 years’ relevant experience in roles related to platform management, DevOps, infrastructure architecture, or a combination of these areas.
- Experience with deploying CI/CD pipeline, DevSecOps technologies.
- A probing and analytical approach with the ability to pre-empt potential problems and identify inefficiencies.
- Proactive team player.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven experience in platform management, DevOps Management, and infrastructure architecture design/documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong expertise in DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.

The Fine Print
Location: Bonn, Germany.
Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week.
Duration of Employment: Temporary contract - 2 years (extension possible, subject to satisfactory performance).
Starting Date: As soon as possible.
